GRADING - Module 2

Next Grading Dates 12th -22nd August.

Gradings are every 3 - 4  months and takes places over 2 sessions. Tyler and I do not hurry people through gradings unlike like other schools. IWKA’s standards are high so it is important that we get you to that standard and if we have to teach you an extra few weeks before you grade then that is what we will do.

In the gradings we are not looking for perfection... just yet. We are looking for a good understanding for you to build upon and more importantly that you give it your all. When you get to week grading you will be ready so don’t worry.

The first session we will be looking at your form, asking questions on your basic theory, refining your meditation postures and testing your sensitivity skills.

The second session we will be looking at applications. Testing your stance and guard, all the 5 punches and pressure testing the applications. Important, this is not sparring sparring is grade 4 and above. Pressure training is feeding you one punch over and over e.g you will defend the straight punch for one minute under pressure.

If you are unable to make the grading do not worry, a catch up grading will done in the normal session with Tyler or myself.
